here in my office space
ok it's really been a long time since i've actually written in this blog cause my freaking computer deteriorated progressively and now is in it's comatose state. since i'm not in tune( in fact i'm ignorant) with the technicalities of the cyber-techno-computer world, i can provide the fella with a provisional diagnosis, and let's even get started with the remedy!
so anyway..after like eons, i have to resort writing this blog from the hospital office in one little corner that is "rented" out to medical students. and that i'm trying my best not to include profanities into my journal cause there's this girl behind me as i type and i think she's reading what i'm typing!! "YES YOU the one with the BLUE badge...!!"
so as i was saying there are many things taht i want to pen down to be immortalised into this cyber webby thingy( of course, it will end when oil depletes ) but i don't have the habit of manually writing my thoughts in a diary and therefor ehave effectively lost like 3 weeks of i would say worthy memories. i'll try to go back slowly from the present time to where i think i stopped. let's see.. ok i'll start with today yah.
today's the first posting day in Surgery at Changi general hospital( where i am typing this damned blog! ) and right now, most of the doctors are out for their ward rounds i.e exit rounds and that i'm here typing cause i'm too freaking lazy to follow (first day mah!). so anyway that's not the point, the point is, i stay just behind this hospital and previously i was doing my posting at national university hospital which is like and hour and a half away( and i still recall the times i lamented the distance i had to travel from my home and there) and it was bad. i almost got into a manic-depressive cycle or even gone crazy etc....and most of the time i got back hoime late. but not anymore, since the "calling", i'm like 5 mins away from home and i starting to think this is the place where i'll learn lots of stuff. ( ok that girl is still reading my blog..hello!! like mind ur own business!!!) so you might think of me as a spoilt bitch that doesn't think about the plight of the Africans who don't enjoy the comforts of an efficient public transport system but HEY!! that's not my problem ain't it..huh huh huh..but yah though i have a point. eccentric! that aside, what we did was went into the operating theatre and got to see 2 operations done. one was a hernia reduction( refer to search engines) and a cervical lymph node extraction. ok truthfully, i was kinda disgusted initially when i say the intestines so red and the neck so filled with all the flesh blood but then it started to get more interesting as we delve into aspects of surgical technique and anatomical discussions and such..wasn't so bad. but yeah i think surgeons are freakos who stay in their own bloody( no pun intended) world. i mean how could you place a... sheesh.. never mind!
ok i have to get back to my tutorial now......ciao!!
